Community Guidelines
Last updated: 2026-05-06
Atelaire is a quiet place for personal art. The public Gallery is for everyone — including kids, parents, and curious newcomers. These guidelines exist to keep it that way.
What's welcome
- Original creative work — drawings, illustrations, abstract pieces, observational sketches.
- Whimsical fantasy, animals, plants, places, objects, patterns.
- Coloring book classics — your interpretation of mandalas, florals, scenes, and characters of your own invention.
- Studies, experiments, weird ideas. The atelier is a workshop.
What isn't
The following will be blocked at generation, removed at exhibit, or both:
- Trademarked characters, logos, or properties. No Disney, Nintendo, Marvel, Pokémon, Studio Ghibli, sports leagues, or similar IP. This applies to direct names, paraphrased descriptions, and look-alikes.
- Real, identifiable people. No celebrity portraits, public figures, or recognizable private individuals without consent.
- Sexually explicit or suggestive content. Atelaire is rated 9+ — keep it appropriate for that audience.
- Hateful, harassing, or discriminatory content. No symbols, slurs, or targeting of any group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
- Graphic violence, gore, or self-harm. Cartoon-level fantasy conflict is OK; realistic harm is not.
- Personal information. No phone numbers, addresses, payment details, or other private data in prompts or text fields.
- Spam, advertising, or commercial promotion. Atelaire isn't a billboard.
How moderation works
Atelaire uses a layered moderation system:
- Prompt pre-check. Before any generation, your prompt is screened against a blocklist and an AI classifier. Risky prompts are rejected without using AI credits.
- Image post-check. When you exhibit a finished work, the image is scored by a vision model. Clear passes go live immediately; ambiguous cases enter a review queue.
- Human review. Edge cases and reported content are reviewed by a moderator within 24–48 hours.
- User reports. Anyone can report any artwork in the Gallery. Reports go straight to the queue.
What happens when something is blocked
- Prompts blocked at generation: you'll get an inline message; no credit is used.
- Exhibited works flagged after publish: temporarily hidden from the Gallery while reviewed; restored if cleared.
- Confirmed violations: removed permanently. Repeat or severe violations: account suspension.
How to report content
In the Gallery, tap the ··· menu on any artwork → Report. Select a reason and optionally add context. Reports are anonymous to the creator.
For urgent issues (impersonation, IP infringement, real-world harm), email support@atelaire.com directly.
Appeals
If you believe content was removed or flagged in error, reply to the in-app notification or email support@atelaire.com with your account email and the artwork ID. We'll review and respond within 5 business days.
The spirit
Atelaire is a quiet gallery, not a feed. We'd rather have a smaller, kinder community than a loud one. Thanks for being here.
